About Me
My name is Jordan Knapp. I’m a developer. I work at Country Maid, but this site and its content and opinions are my own. I am an early adopter and like leveraging tools to get the job done. I was raised on a farm. I’m interested in a better way of doing things. I like to explore new things. I am passionate about great design. To support that quest I spend time learning from industry conferences, classes, blogs and social media. Using the knowledge I have acquired, I try to help others have a better understanding of technology and use technology to create flow to deliver a better user experience.
That’s me for today. I’ll be different tomorrow, hopefully better.
Background
I’ve been at Country Maid since 2001 where I’ve worked on using technology to create systems grow our business as well as our dealership network. While at Country Maid I’ve designed and developed software to manage fundraisers, inventory, invoicing, forecasts and an online store. I’ve designed and implemented hardware and software for many core business services such as email, phone systems, and databases. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many vendors and other strategic partnerships for numerous projects over the years. Recently I’ve transitioned many on premise services to the cloud. Power BI is my new favorite analytical tool.
Along the way I’ve helped many other small businesses add technology and systems to allow them to scale their business. I’m passionate about helping small companies grow.
I’m also an EMT for our local ambulance service. Helping others on what can be their worst day is a way for me to give back to the community.
